Vermilion is a brilliant red or scarlet coloured pigment historically derived from the sulfide mineral Cinnebar. Cinnebar comes from volcanic regions and alkaline hot springs, and Vermilion takes the form of a ground powder.
As a derivative of Mercury, Vermilion is toxic and care needs to be taken with its use and application. This web site is a general information site only and does not recommend or endorse any particular use.
This web site is under construction, but if you would like to buy Vermilion, try NaturalPigments.com or The Sydney Art Store.
